Who can use PreGrader

You need to be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, make sure using PreGrader is alright with a parent, guardian or teacher — particularly if you are paying for it.

What a pre-grade actually is

PreGrader gives you a practice grade: an AI’s estimate of how your work might be marked, along with feedback on what to improve. It is a tool for revising before you submit.

It is not a prediction of your real grade, and not a promise of one. Your teacher may mark it differently, and often will — they know the assignment, the class, and you. If a pre-grade and your teacher disagree, your teacher is right.

AI grading can also simply be wrong: it can miss the point of an argument or misjudge a subject it handles poorly. Treat the feedback as a second opinion worth considering, not an authority.

Academic integrity

PreGrader is built to help you improve work you wrote. Submit your own assignments, and use the feedback to make them better.

Do not use PreGrader to grade someone else’s work as though it were yours, or in any way your school’s rules forbid. Your school’s academic honesty policy applies to how you use this, and it takes precedence over anything convenient we might say. If you are unsure whether using a tool like this is allowed for an assignment, ask your teacher first.

Your work belongs to you

We claim no ownership of anything you upload. We use it only to produce your feedback, and we do not keep your original files — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is kept and for how long.

Plans and payment

  • The free plan includes a limited number of pre-grades each month.
  • Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account.
  • Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep your paid features until the period you have already paid for runs out.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel first, then delete.

Fair use

Every pre-grade costs us real money to run, so please do not script or automate submissions, create accounts to get around plan limits, or resell access. We may suspend accounts doing any of that.

Availability

We will do our best to keep PreGrader working, but we cannot promise it will always be available or that grading will always succeed. Do not leave a pre-grade until an hour before your deadline.

Changes and questions

If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top. Anything that meaningfully affects you will be flagged in the app.
